Library cards
Any person who is a resident or taxpayer of the Town of Litchfield (including Bantam, Northfield and
Milton) are eligible to have a library card. The person must present identification (such as a valid driver’s
license, a postmarked envelope, Utility bill, Bank statement, Rent receipt or Tax bill) showing a current
Litchfield address or taxpayer status. Library cards are valid for three years. To apply click here
Book Club Services
The Oliver Wolcott Library is happy to assist your group in facilitating book discussions. We believe strongly in supporting community book discussion. Through our service, your group can borrow up to 10 copies of your selected title. Each club member checks out their own book on their own card; and each club member returns their own book at the Oliver Wolcott Library. Click here for more information

The Collection
The Library has an extensive collection of books, DVDs, audio cds and music CDs. We also offer e-books, e-audio and access to other online content. The Library owns two telescopes that may be borrowed. The Library also owns museum passes that may be borrowed.

Exam Proctoring
Do you need a test or exam proctored? For a $25 fee, the Library provides this service and will act as proctors for distance learning students, professionals or others who may need to have a test or exam proctored. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call the Library 860-567-8030.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Can’t find an item that you are looking for in the catalog? We can help get the item for you.
There are three ways to get request materials through Interlibrary Loan. The first way is to come to the library and we can fill out a form for you or call the library at 860-567-8030. Another option is to email Olivia at odefiore at owlibrary.org and she will begin the process of your request. You will be contacted when we hear from the library and if we will be able to get the item of interest.
Program events
The Library has a vibrant adult program event schedule. Author talks, lecture series, musical and theatrical performances, community reads, book discussions and much more.
